Franklin is a great place to live. It is listed in Money Magazine’s top 100 places to live. It received the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Clean City award and the Great American Main Street award. It has five nationally registered historic districts and was ranked the #1 small town in Tennessee.
Franklin is even listed in Patricia Shultz’s 1,000 Places to See Before You Die one of the best selling travel books ever published with over 2.4 million copies sold and 164 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
Franklin mixes rich history with modern convenience. On the one hand, Franklin’s Carnton Plantation was made famous in Widow of the South by Robert Hicks, the story of the plantation’s mistress, Carrie McGavock, who during the Civil War cared for wounded and dying soldiers from the Battle of Franklin and whose land became the burial place for over 1,500 Confederate soldiers.
On the other hand, Franklin’s Cool Springs area boasts over 100 restaurants and a mall with over 150 stores, and we're always getting new stores and restaurants. It's a great mix of charming and trendy.
Franklin's schools are among the best in the state. GreatSchools.net ranks Franklin public schools as a 9 out of 10 based on standardized test scores, and by the state's safe school standards all schools are ranked "safe".
Real estate agents in Middle Tennessee have access to powerful search software. Our local MLS gives free training on how to use it; however, these classes are alarmingly small. We want you to know that we’ve attended every class available. It’s easy to do a simple search on the MLS, but parts of the software are more complicated. Knowing how to use the mapping, statistics, and tax record features gives us a better chance to find the perfect homes for sale in Franklin for you.
